Relocation assistance is not available.Job Description:Provide engineering design as needed to support the Facilities Mechanical Engineering Department. Manage projects and coordinate all procurements and installation to meet the program cost and schedule requirements for capital upgrades.Design mechanical piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) for chemical plant systems including boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, hydraulics, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems.Prepare design calculations and specifications for major plant related equipment including, but not limited to heat exchangers, industrial chillers, cooling towers, boilers, condensers, pumps, piping, etc.Prepare mechanical engineering designs, including layout, design sketches, and conceptual design. Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.Develop schedules, work assignments and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion.Coordinate with other engineers and craftsman assigned to the project or a task, and reviews work progress and resultsProviding detailed cost estimates for project design and implementationPreparing specifications for the procurement of pumps, heat exchangers, valves, compressors, tanks, cranes, and other miscellaneous of plant equipment.Review engineering drawings and designs for manufacturability and functionality.Troubleshoot industrial mechanical equipment. Northrop Grumman Total RewardsPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
