Description

Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide an excellent patient experience. This valuable staff member will tend to a variety of duties within the Idaho Falls clinic.

Patient Care.

1. Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
2. Take patient histories and vital signs.
3. Screen and direct patient calls to appropriate staff.
4. Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).

1. Clerical.
   1. Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and clinic leadership.
   2. Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians.
   3. Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians' review, etc.
   4. Document patient files, records, forms, and other info.
   5. Complete opening and closing procedures.
   6. Be sure work area appears neat, well stocked, and organized.
2. Other Duties
   • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
   • Provide general information of department policies and procedures.
   • Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested.
   • Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area.
   • Cross-train in other positions, such as front desk and/or x-ray.
3. Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise.
4. Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the J4K mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older to apply.

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to successfully complete new hire training program.

• Maintain current BLS certificate.

• Maintain current MA, CNA, or EMT license.
