Middle School High School Registered Behavior Technician in Navasota, TX

Bring your passion for supporting students to a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This position offers meaningful impact within educational settings, focusing on individualized support for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. You'll work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, assisting in specialized environments such as elementary behavior support classrooms and cross-campus Life Skills programs. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with the strong possibility of renewal and options for summer work.


Key Qualifications:

• Current RBT certification required
• Previous experience within school settings is ideal, particularly with elementary, middle, or high school students
• Significant experience supporting students with behavioral needs or providing direct RBT services
• Preferred: Experience with aggressive caseloads and familiar with CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) practices, especially for Life Skills support roles
• Ability to adapt to a changing caseload and demonstrate compassion, patience, and strong communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 behavioral interventions to students in elementary behavior support classrooms and Life Skills programs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized intervention plans
• Employ crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies when necessary
• Assist in data collection and monitoring student progress toward behavioral goals
• Support a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment for all students

The work week runs from 7:15am to 3:30pm, with some variation depending on school needs. Individuals who are energized by assisting students with behavioral needs, enjoy working collaboratively in educational settings, and have experience in high-demand or high-need caseloads will thrive in this role.
