(USA) Prepared Food Lead

Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members — giving them more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You’ll Do Be a Team Leader; supervise the team within all prepared foods departments, facilitating rotations through different fresh areas, managing member needs, and delivering on the business plan. Communicate goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and the company. Be an Expert; maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and back‑room operations, ensuring the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance. Manage seasonality, understand new products, recipes, processes, and production specifications, prioritizing time between areas. Collaborate with associates and third parties; ensure the team has resources, share knowledge, and train the team. Be a Techie; leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, loyalty, and product quality. Be an Owner; drive business results, ensure commitment to operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, ensure appropriate staffing levels, and meet audit and compliance standards. Produce and display merchandise according to the layout plan and engage with other departments and third‑party partners. Be a Talent Ambassador; teach and train the team, identify training needs, provide and develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally or externally. Develop, communicate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, results, and identify improvement opportunities. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a team.
