Cost Estimator

Prepare cost estimates for projects to aid in bidding and determining the price of products and services.

Responsibilities include:

• Estimating all costs of projects, including raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation.
• Collecting, classifying, and analyzing historical data.
• Reading blueprints or architectural drawings to determine necessary resources for projects within budgetary constraints.
• Determining necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.
• Performing bid sheet preparation (Excel), soliciting subcontractor proposals, advertisements as needed, take-offs, attending pre-bid walks.
• Identifying qualified subcontractors/suppliers.
• Reviewing quotes for completeness with plans and specifications.
• Assisting with timely completion of all client-required prequal packages.
• Reviewing subcontractor proposals prior to contract issuance for complete work scopes.
• Assisting field personnel with estimating Change Orders, RFPs, and clarification of RFI's.
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and buy-outs.
