Position Overview

This role is within a blended Medsurg Unit that features a thriving Swing Bed Program and occasionally accommodates patients requiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level of care. The assignment of patients is balanced according to nursing workload and the required level of care, ensuring a supportive environment for staff.

Work Schedule

The position offers 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with responsibilities including working every other holiday and every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement.

Patient Ratios

  • Medsurg: 1:5
  • Swing Bed: 1:5-6
  • PCU: 1:3-4 (dependent on whether the patient is on a drip)
