Overview Interventional Radiology Technologist. We are seeking a skilled professional to join a 615-bed Short Term Acute Care facility, a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. The IR Technologist will perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and maintain a sterile environment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced setting utilizing advanced imaging equipment, including Siemens and GE biplane systems. The daily caseload ranges from 20-30 patients, encompassing cases such as stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy & thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management procedures, and oncology procedures including Y-90 and chemoembolizations. The IR Technologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure patient care, equipment setup, and maintaining inventory. Responsibilities Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to: Angiograms, Angioplasty, Stent Placement, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Embolization, Ablations, Kyphoplasty, Nephrogram, Stroke Thrombectomy, and Vascular and Neurological studies. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, positioning, and administering contrast. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including Siemens and GE biplane systems. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Monitor patients\' vital signs and report any changes to the physician. Document procedures accurately and completely in the Cerner EMR system. Participate in on-call rotation, providing timely response and coverage. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Assist with training and orientation of new staff. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. ARRT certification. BLS certification. Florida state license. COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions accepted). Experience with Cerner EMR. Preferred Qualifications Level II Trauma experience. Experience in a Community Hospital. Travel experience. ARRT Advanced Certification. Proficiency in vascular studies. Experience with PACS. Knowledge of contrast administration. Experience with biopsies. Skills in Stents, Ablations, Angioplasty, Angiograms, Nephrogram, Kyphoplasty, Peripherals, Upper and Lower extremity, Abd and Pelvic, Vascular studies, Neurological studies, Stroke thromectomy. Shift Details Start Date: 2026-06-29 | End Date: 2026-09-28 | Shift Type: Day Shift | Length: 10 hours | Hours: 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM | Days per Week: 4 | Contract Length: 13 weeks | Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend | On-Call Requirements: Yes | Weekdays: On-call responsibility begins at 5:00 PM | Weekends: 24 hours per day on both Saturday and Sunday | Holidays: 24 hours for recognized holidays.
