MRI Technologist - PRN

Position Overview: This is a PRN position with various shifts. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. Set hours will be discussed in interview. Pre-employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Job Requirements and Responsibilities: Must be a second year Radiology Student or ARRT certified. General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies. Ability to perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high-field strength magnets and related equipment and produce radiographic images of specific body parts. Ability to analyze patient histories and complete screenings for pacemakers or other objects that may cause injuries during the exam. Accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS). Ability to acquire IV access to patients needing contrasted studies. Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Maintain patient confidentiality; comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines. Responsible for maintaining continued education as required for professional licensure. Must be able to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of the staff and patients as well as evaluate the scans for technical quality.
