Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You are a healer and a helper, addressing the whole patient as an individual. Your goal is to execute a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances their physical abilities and independence. You collaborate with your peers, provide referrals, and ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
