The occupational therapist (OT) will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes, a nurse, substance use recovery coach,

client support specialist and activities coordinator. The OT duties will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting occupational therapy needs assessment of the clients’ living environment and make recommendations

to increase residents’ abilities to participate in meaningful activities.

• Assess individual client interests, functional skills, and limitations to participate in meaningful activities.

• Develop goals for the treatment plan based on the assessment(s).

• Provide individual and group interventions based on the treatment plan.

• Complete a discharge summary that includes recommendations to the client and staff that work with them. •Collaborate with the OT from the Department of Mental Health regarding providing supported employment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

• Current license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapist

Experience:

• Required One year providing OT services.

Desired:

o One year working with individuals with severe mental illness.

o One year performing the above job duties.

Hollywood 2.0 is designed to provide comprehensive, community-based care and services to people experiencing mental illness and many who are experiencing homelessnessin the Hollywood community. The HERCS program provides clients residing in the facility with a sense of comfort and personalization, opportunities for participation in meaningful activities, and community integration.
