Security Specialist (Physical/Personnel)

Overview Requires US Citizenship Employment Term and Type: Regular, Full Time Required Security Clearance (Minimum for hire): TS/SCI Required Education: (Minimum for hire): High School or Equivalent Job Description: The Security Specialist (Physical/Personnel) will support USMC Special Security Officer, HQMC Intel Division (IID) in personnel and physical security. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Perform personnel security clearance investigations, personnel security interviews, indoctrinations, personnel access control, nomination package processing, administer SCI non-disclosure agreements, validate billet assignments, visitor logs, access control logs, physical security inspections of classified spaces including intrusion detection systems and access control systems Utilize familiar knowledge of industrial security program and processing and general knowledge of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility construction and accreditation principles, along with general knowledge of related areas Required Qualifications 8+ years of personnel and physical security experience; Must have practical understanding of security principles, concepts, and methodologies Must also understand security criteria, equipment or techniques; and general administrative security knowledge Working knowledge of basic laws, rules and regulations pertaining to security administration; and understanding of service security policy, procedures, and requirements; and ability to apply specific security techniques and analytical methods Must be knowledgeable of internal activity organization and the relationship with higher-level security authorities Must show a capability for original thinking to analyze and assimilate the factual material presented Education High School or Equivalent Security Clearance Requirements TS/SCI Physical, Work Environment & Conditions Requires Sitting (66%), Standing (15%), Walking (15%), Near Acuity (100%), Speaking (100%), Listening (100%), Sight (100%), Use of fingers and hands (100%) This position description is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with this job.
