Job Location and Schedule Location: Mesa, AZ (East Mesa/Baywood – Power Rd/Broadway Rd). Schedule: Monday‑Friday 7:30AM–4:30PM. Compensation Pay Range (LevelI): $19.20–$25.00 per hour. Pay Range (LevelII): $21.00–$28.00 per hour (minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology required). Position Summary The Cardiovascular Stress Technician (LevelsI orII) performs treadmill testing in a variety of modalities, including exercise treadmill, stress echocardiograms, and nuclear stress testing. The position is cross‑trained to cover clinic MA rooming and back‑office testing. Essential Functions Maintain complete understanding of all treadmill testing modalities and perform testing per physician orders in accordance with TCC protocol and IAC guidelines. Explain testing accurately and in detail to patients to ensure understanding and consent. Use critical thinking to evaluate order accuracy and initiate order‑change requests with the ordering or supervising physician as needed. Monitor patients for physiologic symptoms during testing and report to supervising physician as needed. Accurately enter data into Syntermed and NextGen EHR for stress testing within 95% overall accuracy. Maintain supply inventory and crash‑cart equipment in treadmill rooms. Check crash cart, defibrillator, and EKG machine daily for functionality. Closely monitor the week’s schedule, inform physicians of schedule changes, and reschedule patient appointments promptly. Safety‑Sensitive Position This position is safety‑sensitive in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes §23‑493(9). Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant diploma OR Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology OR Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Current BLS certification (must be obtained within 90days if not current). ACLS certification (must be obtained within 90days if not current). Completion of a basic ECG course and basic EKG interpretation test with a minimum passing grade of 85% required before training. Typing speed of 40wpm. Critical‑thinking ability to resolve problems and carry out instructions. Ability to multitask. Excellent verbal communication skills: effective, clear, calm, friendly, and professional, with a high sense of urgency. Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external customers. Task‑management skills to meet deadlines. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to read and interpret documents. Preferred Qualifications Previous MA (advanced) experience. Certified Cardiovascular Technician. Medical Assistant registration. Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field (required for LevelII only). Benefits Immediate holiday pay.
