Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Location: Massachusetts

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires independent action and judgment under the general guidance of the Director, while following specific guidelines and protocols. The role focuses on time management, effective communication, and critical thinking to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions quickly and respond effectively.
• Manage time efficiently to handle multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients to ensure clear understanding of care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of current Emergency Room nursing experience is required.
• Experience in ED Triage and Cardiac Room preferred.
• Massachusetts RN License is required.
• IV Certification is preferred.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Active American Heart Association certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications are preferred.
