Serve as Engineer of Record for Associate Engineers. Provide honest and unbiased analysis and consultation on failures. May provide appraisals on structures and equipment as needed. Travel within assigned regional boundaries and sometimes to other regions. Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics. Write and submit detailed, accurate reports on completed projects. Communicate with customers to provide timelines and updates. Provide expert testimony and/or depositions as required. Work a flexible schedule and additional hours during peak demand. Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Pursue training, mentoring, and additional certifications proactively. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Active registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of application, multiple licensures preferred. Willingness to obtain additional state licensures as business demands; company may cover fees. Valid NCEES record or eligibility to obtain one in a reasonable time. Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical engineering. Experience in forensic investigations preferred but not required. Expert testimony or deposition experience preferred but not required. Adaptable, willing to learn new skills and techniques. Highly organized with ability to deliver fast, accurate turnaround. Capable of handling multiple projects and high‑stress periods. Complete at least two hours annually of specialized litigation training. Hands‑on engineering experience in structural, mechanical, or electrical investigations highly preferred. Willingness to work on roofs, crawl in tight spaces, and perform hands‑on tasks. Adhere to safety protocols and JSA guidelines when hazards identified. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team‑oriented with strong customer service focus. Meet or exceed company computer and technical proficiency standards. Conduct business honestly and ethically at all times. Experience with detailed report writing preferred. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Excellent overall computer skills. Willing to travel and work a flexible schedule during peak demand. Work efficiently with little or no supervision. Willing to work remotely and from home office. Meet pre‑employment physical examination standards. Have reliable high‑speed internet for remote work. Physical Requirements Stand for prolonged periods. Lift or move objects weighing 50–100 lbs. Climb onto first and second‑story roofs, ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps. Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Reach with hands and arms. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Drive a vehicle for extended periods.
