Field Services Engineer

We are currently seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer to join our client’s organization and contribute to their ongoing success. Job summary This is a hands‑on, field‑based role supporting the setup, operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of robotic equipment at customer sites. The Field Service Engineer will work alongside experienced engineers and operations team members to help keep systems running safely and reliably. This position is suited for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, practical problem‑solving skills, and an interest in developing experience with robotics and automation. Responsibilities: Gather, inspect, organize, and maintain tools, field equipment, and supply kits. Help inspect, test, and prepare robotic systems before shipment or deployment. Assist with equipment assembly, basic system checks, and pre‑deployment testing. On‑Site Setup and Testing Assist with system setup and site preparation at customer locations. Follow test procedures and checklists to confirm the system is ready for daily operation. Collect basic operating data and record test results accurately. Support testing of system updates or new features under the direction of senior team members. Daily Operations and Maintenance Observe and support daily system operations in active field environments. Perform routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and basic repairs. Help identify whether an issue may be mechanical, electrical, software‑related, or operational. Escalate complex problems to senior engineers and assist with the recommended corrective actions. Documentation and Team Support Document equipment issues, repairs, test results, and system performance in a clear and timely manner. Take photos, notes, logs, and other information needed to support troubleshooting and follow‑up analysis. Communicate field observations to engineering, operations, and project teams. Participate in post‑deployment reviews and continuous improvement activities. Pack‑Out and Logistics Assist with system shutdown, disassembly, cleaning, and preparation for shipment. Inventory, pack, and ship equipment, tools, and supplies after field work is complete. Requirements: Approximately 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in field service, electromechanical systems, or a related area. Good mechanical aptitude and comfort using common hand tools and basic test equipment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software, operating procedures, and technical systems. Ability to follow written procedures, complete checklists, and document work accurately. Clear communication skills, a team‑oriented approach, and willingness to ask questions and learn from senior team members. Willingness to work at construction sites and in rugged or changing field conditions. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to support deployments.
