Senior Finance Analyst

Job Summary:

Omaha Steaks is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a key finance partner to leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Executive leadership. This role sits at the intersection of financial planning, business strategy, and performance analytics, helping shape decisions that drive growth. This position reports to the Director of Business Finance.

You'll go beyond reporting, translating data into insights, influencing strategy, and improving how we plan and measure the business.

*This position is based out of Omaha, NE and will require the ability to work onsite.

Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:

Partner with Leaders

• Act as a trusted advisor to Sales and Marketing leaders, providing insights on performance, trends, and growth opportunities
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to understand drivers of revenue and profitability
• Translate financial results into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership

Drive Planning & Forecasting

• Lead and support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes for key business areas
• Develop and maintain financial models that support short- and long-term planning
• Analyze variances vs. plan/forecast and proactively identify risks and opportunities

Deliver Insightful Analysis

• Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and key business drivers to inform strategic decisions
• Perform ad hoc analysis for senior leadership, synthesizing complex data into clear narratives
• Support development of multi-year projections and scenario modeling

Improve Tools & Processes

• Support and enhance FP&A planning tools (Planful)
• Improve reporting, forecasting accuracy, and overall planning processes
• Help drive automation and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 4- year college degree or equivalent
• 4-8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with FP&A planning tools (Planful, Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar.)
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Solid knowledge of financial statements and corporate finance
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
• Ability to research and work independently with no supervision. Ability to use a high degree of independent judgment to make sound decisions.
• Must be detail oriented and possess a high degree of accuracy. Proven ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, independent reasoning, analytical skills and judgment.
• Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments with the ability to interact with various management levels. Maintains a positive attitude and is a team player.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus on key tasks.
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpretive communication skills.
