Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Level 2)

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer We are Lockheed Martin. This is a deployed position in the Greater Los Angeles (El Segundo) area, working at various LM supplier companies. Telecommuter remote work location may be reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager. Key Responsibilities Achieve total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components. Apply knowledge in GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing, gap analysis. Effectively apply root cause analysis, cause mapping, cause & effect diagrams, pick charts, and structured RCCA for corrective action. Lead the supplier through the process of developing and executing plans that ensure long‑term flow of defect‑free products in support of LM Aero production. Collaborate with functional organizations and leadership at supplier sites and LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, ensuring supplier performance aligns with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in STEM. Proficient in blueprint reading and first‑article inspection (FAI). Interpretation of engineering process specifications. Background in verification of mechanical methods for complex machined parts and assemblies. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of RCCA ensuring effectiveness of CA plans. Surveillance of QMS/manufacturing processes. Reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager. Desired Skills Green belt and Six Sigma certification is a plus. Knowledge of RCCA, PFMEA, APQP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Effective written and oral communication skills. Self‑starter with effective time‑management skills. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a Secret clearance. This position requires a government security clearance. Additional Information

• A Level 2 employee typically has 2–5 years of professional experience.
• The employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility; specific weekly schedule discussed during hiring.
• Work schedule: 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week.

Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and Washington DC is $67,000 – $117,990. For other states the range reflects the final work location. Salary is a general guideline and may vary based on scope, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. The position is eligible for incentive plans.
