Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Job Type: Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Full-Time Days (Monday-Friday) Start Date: September 8, 2026 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative experience and the ability to work effectively in both circulating and scrub roles within a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative nursing care plans. Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures while maintaining sterile technique. Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and operative site before surgery. Position patients appropriately and assist with patient transport to and from the operating room. Conduct and document surgical counts of instruments, sharps, and sponges. Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation. Assist with post-operative patient evaluations and recovery processes. Maintain a safe and clean surgical environment before, during, and after procedures. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License . Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience . At least 1 year of surgical experience required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
