Job Title: Armed Guard/Driver

As an armed guard/driver, you work with your team to ensure the safe collection and delivery of cash, coins, and valuables. Responsibilities include:

• Driving armored automatic vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes serving client locations.
• Providing service to automated teller machines and smart safes.
• Serving at client locations, including delivering customer change orders and collecting deposits.
• Loading/unloading vehicle cargo, including multiple bags and boxes of coins.
• Counting items, recording, and signing off on cargo items.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements include:

• At least 21 years of age.
• At least a three-year driving record.
• Ability to obtain the Medical Examiners Certificate from the United States Department of Transportation and the Puerto Rico Public Service Commission, approved by medical examiners.
• A valid firearm permit (Puerto Rico Firearms License).
• A Puerto Rico driver's license is required.

Full-time schedule potentially consisting of an average of 40 to 50 hours/week, with a minimum of 5 days during a 7-day period. Weekend work required as stipulated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Approximately 90-95 percent of the work is performed in an air-conditioned vehicle within individual compartments (front and rear).

Essential duties/qualifications of the position include:

• As part of the qualification process for the Armored Service Technician position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires successfully completing tests in the following areas:
• Lifting: Vertical lift of 25 pounds from 10 inches to 66 inches off the floor (1X)
• Lift-Carry: Vertical lift of 18 pounds from 1 inch to 44 inches off the floor, and horizontal transfer of 15 feet (4X); vertical lift of 18 pounds from 10 inches to 36 inches off the floor and horizontal transfer of 300 feet (1X); vertical lift of 50 pounds from 10 inches to 36 inches off the floor and horizontal transfer of 2 feet (2X)
• Push-Pull: Horizontal transfer of 47 pounds of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1 foot (2X)
• Repetitive Coupling: Squeezing a Jamar hand dynamometer requiring a force of up to 30 pounds / both right and left hands (4X)
• Climbing: Ascend/descend a step with heights of 16. 21 and 24 inches off the floor (10X)
