Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $30/hr. to $38hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and welding procedures and instructions.
- Prepare, assemble and weld various pipes and fittings using various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and FCAW.
- Perform pipe fitting and welding operations on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys.
- Inspect welds for quality, ensuring compliance with ASME B31.1 AND B31.3 standards.
- Operate equipment safely including torches, grinders, plasma cutters, overhead cranes and positioners.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
What You'll Need:
- Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and FCAW techniques.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API).
- Strong understanding of pipe materials, welding metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality x-ray welds.
- Work performed in a controlled shop environment.
- Workstations with good lighting.
- Required to wear PPE including safety toe shoes, safety glasses, welding helmet, face shields, protective clothing and hearing protection.
