West Bay recently underwent a $40 million renovation of the club amenities and golf course. About The Position: The Accounting Specialist will work with the Director of Finance and Assistant Controller to manage daily accounting functions for our private golf club and community association. This position requires a highly organized, detail‑oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and experience in financial processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and support a positive workplace culture. Job Responsibilities: Accounts receivable & Billing: Manage the Club and HOA accounts receivable and billing process. Prepare and process monthly member and homeowner statements. Post payments, charges, credits, and adjustments accurately. Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection follow‑up. Respond to member and homeowner questions regarding accounts and charges. Research and resolve billing discrepancies. General Accounting: Assist with credit card reconciliations. Assists with month end close and annual audit. Assist with accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed. Assist with payroll and HR functions. Education/Experience: 2 plus years of accounting experience. Experience in a country club, hospitality, or member-based organization is a plus. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and employee record‑keeping. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, members, and external partners. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Proficiency in Jonas or other Private Country Club software.
