Location: 4641 McRee Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (salary position)

POSITION SUMMARY

Christy Refractories is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Operations Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support across multiple departments. This role serves as a key point of contact for both internal and external customers, helping coordinate orders, logistics, communication, and problem-solving activities that keep the business running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys balancing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service.

POSITION DETAILS

• Provide professional support to customers, sales representatives, production teams, and other internal departments.

• Process customer orders, inquiries, and requests accurately and efficiently.

• Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and communication between departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data within company systems.

• Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates or resolve issues as they arise.

• Assist with inventory, purchasing, reporting, and administrative functions as needed.

• Prioritize tasks and respond with urgency in a fast-paced environment.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and share ideas to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall operations.

• Maintain a positive, professional attitude while managing multiple responsibilities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

• Previous experience in customer service, operations support, logistics, manufacturing administration, or a related field preferred.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams).

• Experience working with ERP systems or order processing software is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
