Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, communicating with people, and supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Complete routine reports, document security-related incidents and/or observations, and relay important updates during shift changes to support ongoing site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
