Chief Financial and Operating Officer

The client is seeking an engaging, experienced leader and manager to serve as the next CFOO, working closely with the Head of School. Reporting to the Head of School, the CFOO is expected to be a strategic, collaborative leader and a visible member of the school community, helping advance organizational priorities through effective operational and financial oversight. The CFOO will oversee all aspects of the client’s finances, facilities, auxiliary programs, and security management. The role supervises the Accounting Manager, the Assistant to the CFOO, and the Directors of Facilities and Operations, and will partner across teams to ensure coordinated execution of day-to-day and long-term initiatives. Qualifications include an MBA preferred and a minimum of 10 years of management experience, along with at least 5 years of administrative oversight in an accounting, audit, or finance role. The CFOO should have experience engaging with and supporting Boards of Directors or Trustees, exceptional quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a practical understanding of accounting software and third-party technology platforms (including those used by the client). Additional requirements include the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines, along with strong presentation, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
