A residential property management organization is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of apartment communities in the Madison area.

Key Responsibilities
Complete general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property

Assist with apartment turnovers and help prepare units for new residents

Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

Perform routine repairs involving:
Plumbing fixtures and minor leaks

Drywall repair and painting

Locks, doors, and hardware adjustments

Light electrical troubleshooting and fixture replacement

Support preventative maintenance efforts to help reduce larger repair issues

Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of common areas, grounds, and building exteriors

Assist with seasonal property upkeep including snow and ice removal

Participate in an after-hours emergency maintenance rotation as needed

Track completed work orders and maintenance activities accurately

Follow company safety procedures and property maintenance standards

Work collaboratively with property staff, vendors, and residents

Qualifications
Required:
Basic knowledge of maintenance trades including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry

Comfortable using standard maintenance tools and equipment

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete physical tasks throughout the day

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions

Strong reliability, communication, and time management skills

Preferred:
Prior maintenance, facilities, or property management experience

Trade school education or hands-on technical training

Experience with apartment maintenance or residential communities

Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems or work order software
