WHAT YOU’LL DO You are a designer first, and a coordinator second. You live for typography, layout, hierarchy, and visual systems, and you have the A/E/C pursuit experience to back it up. This is not a job for someone who simply compiles content and "plugs it into a template"; this is a role for someone who wants creative control, strategic input, and ownership of the visual quality of every pursuit deliverable. In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of print and digital proposals and shortlist presentations that help our clients win high-stakes work in markets. You’ll be working at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and design, translating dense technical content into clean, compelling narratives with visuals that actually make reviewers sit up and pay attention. We’re looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about turning a "just okay" draft into a visually stunning, on-brand, and persuasive final deliverable, and who is curious and fearless about using new AI tools to move faster and think smarter. On a day‑to‑day basis, you will: Own proposals and presentations from kickoff through final delivery (interpret RFQs/RFPs, set schedules, align on strategy, coordinate and lay out content, design and edit templates, manage reviews, and deliver polished, on‑time submissions). Design highly visual, modern proposals in Adobe InDesign and sophisticated, interactive presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including RFQ/P responses, shortlist presentations, interview decks, and pursuit collateral. Take complex technical information and turn it into clear, concise storylines supported by strong layout, typography, infographics, and visual cues that guide the reader. Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing leadership, and client teams to align design and messaging with win strategy, differentiators, and selection criteria. Maintain and evolve design systems, templates, and standards that keep our work consistently high‑quality while still allowing for creativity and customization. Explore, test, and adopt AI and other emerging tools (for content structuring, visual ideation, and production efficiency) to enhance both speed and output quality… not as a crutch, but as an amplifier of your skills. Juggle multiple fast‑moving pursuits without dropping the ball, maintaining exceptional attention to detail, file organization, and version control under real‑world deadlines. WHAT YOU BRING 5+ years of hands‑on marketing, proposal, and presentation experience in the A/E/C industry, supporting pursuits for contractors, architects, engineers, or developers. Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint (you can build layouts from scratch, design flexible templates, create infographics, and craft visually rich, interactive presentations without relying on canned themes). A portfolio that clearly showcases your ability to make proposals and presentations visually exceptional (not just "formatted"). We’re looking for evidence of craft, systems thinking, and strategic storytelling. Strong visual communication instincts. You understand hierarchy, whitespace, rhythm, and how to guide a reviewer’s eye through a complex document or slide deck. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you may not be the primary writer, but you can definitely tighten copy, fix errors, and ensure consistency. A proactive, self‑directed working style. You anticipate needs, ask smart questions, and push work forward without waiting for step‑by‑step instructions. Comfort working in a fully remote environment with distributed teams and clients, communicating clearly and professionally across time zones. Genuine curiosity and openness to learning and integrating new tools, especially AI‑driven platforms, into your design and production workflows. BONUS POINTS FOR Experience creating interactive or lightly animated content in PowerPoint or other presentation tools (click‑throughs, motion, reveals, etc.). Familiarity with government and public‑sector RFQ/RFP structures, especially for large capital programs. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for diagrams, site plans, logistics graphics, and image enhancement. Prior experience working as part of a high‑performing, client‑facing team in a consulting or agency environment.
