As a Security Officer Armed Medical Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. In this armed role, you will bring professionalism, integrity, and teamwork to each shift while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and location requirements, maintaining professional bearing and sound judgment during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
