Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active LPN or LVN license in the state of Alabama
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to assess, triage, and respond swiftly to health concerns
• Flexible, supportive, and able to connect well with children, staff, and families
• Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff during school hours
• Manage and administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with privacy laws and district policies
• Educate students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and wellness initiatives
• Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and families regarding special medical or support needs
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed and support individualized care plans
