Instructional Systems Specialist

Duties

The duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures training and education programs meet all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to accessibility, records management, fairness, and annual evaluation of CAST's training programs.
• Evaluates, and implements needed improvement initiatives that include setting and developing standards and policies to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of CAST training offerings.
• Provides staff development and advisory services and developing products related to ISD, curricula accreditation, and distance learning.
• Promotes understanding and acceptance of alternative educational approaches using technology and distance learning methodologies.
• Provides expert advice and guidance on the professional development and performance enhancement of personnel on a nationwide basis throughout PPQ and other partner agencies.
• Evaluates short- and long-term effectiveness of the training and education programs.
• Researches and analyzes complex training problems and determines appropriate strategies of instruction.
• Exercises responsibility for instructional materials analysis for a large and/or highly technical education or training program.
• Serves as curriculum coordinator and/or instructor for assigned courses.
