- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate VPK lessons and activities aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom.
- Monitor and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, safety, and VPK program requirements.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall success of the program.
- Current CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Credential) is required.
- Completion of all required VPK training/classes is required.
- Previous experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass all required background screening and state requirements.
- Reliable and punctual professional.
- Passion for early childhood education.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences that prepare children for kindergarten success.
