Barista / Co-working Reception

Pay rate: $14.00 per hour + tips Think Lounge is Austin’s newest drop-in co-working space and first to offer both a childwatch and café on-site. The very first location is opening up this April and the search is on for enthusiastic and creative baristas with strong customer service skills for the on-site café. Responsibilities: Ensure all customers of Think Lounge are greeted and provided an exceptional customer experience during their visit. Take and prepare beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Operate electronic registers and handle all money transactions with ease and accuracy. Introduce the space to walk-in customers, answer phone calls and confidently talk about all of the available access passes and amenities the space has to offer. Ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of café area and equipment. Ensure a safe work environment per workplace safety rules and regulations. Maintain all café signage and provide feedback and input into the evolving drink menu. Use and operate café equipment professionally and with ease, such as the espresso machine, commercial dishwasher, coffee grinder, coffee machine and ice maker. Ensure compliance with proper procedures, including food handling, storing temperatures, opening and closing procedures as needed, per health code standards. Assist with physical inventory as needed. Maintain and organize refrigerators, freezers and pantry areas and process administrative paperwork in order to maintain accurate records. Qualifications & Requirements: 1 year previous barista experience preferred. Ability to work as a solo barista as needed. Strong customer service skills. Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time. Must have enthusiasm for Think Lounge mission and values.
