Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

WCS Healthcare is currently partnering with a psychiatric hospital in Queens Village, NY, seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support its Adult Mental Health population.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LPNs with at least one (1) year of experience working with adult mental health patients . This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary behavioral health team and provide quality patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Position Details

• Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Location: Queens Village, NY
• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital
• Patient Population: Adult Mental Health
• Schedule: Five (5) shifts per week
• Shifts Available:
  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor and document patient behaviors, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the Adult Mental Health population .
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Strong communication, observation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
