Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorder symptoms, assessing their intensity, frequency, and impact on daily functioning. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide clients through their healing journey. \n
- Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, self-management strategies, and coping mechanisms. \n
- Monitor and document client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on therapeutic outcomes and client feedback. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and relevant healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated client care. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health to continually enhance treatment effectiveness. \n
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development opportunities to improve therapeutic skills and knowledge. \n
- Advocate for client needs within the mental health system while challenging stigma associated with mental health disorders. \n
The primary focus of this position will involve working with clients challenged by a variety of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and related conditions. Our clientele also includes vulnerable populations such as refugees, domestic violence survivors, and the homeless, requiring a therapist who is both empathetic and skilled in trauma-informed care. Each interaction presents an opportunity to create meaningful change and foster long-term recovery in the lives of patients.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. \n
