In this role, you will drive the full technical lifecycle—from requirements and hazard analysis to hardware-software integration—ensuring the safety and reliability of the world’s most advanced aircraft.What You Will Do: You will support the conceptualization, development, and certification of aerospace subsystems. You will work in a fast-paced, creative environment to design robust architecture while providing the technical direction necessary to ensure strict compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.Primary Responsibilities: Capture, develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements Develop product architectures for systems, hardware, and software to meet performance and safety requirements Produce and maintain project artifacts related to planning, requirements, design, validation and verification  Help write and review ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 certification artifacts Review designs artifacts (documents, schematics, code, drawings, etc.) against upper-level requirements Maintain configuration management of the requirements in a controlled environment using DOORS Support design activities in collaboration with the other functions (engineering, test, quality)  Support the team with technical discussions with both customers and suppliers  Participate in or conduct risk assessments and contingency plans Effectively communicate technical concepts and innovative design ideas Participate in hardware and software test planning and execution Keep up to date knowledge of international airworthiness regulations and new product certification initiatives Proactively identify and execute process improvements related to product design and development processShow consistent drive and accountability by independently executing and completing assignments with minimal oversightPreferred Education Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or other aerospace engineering discipline  Preferred Experience 2-7 years of engineering experience Proven experience in full life cycle design of systems for aerospace or any other highly regulated industry   Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities  Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human-systems interface design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture Experienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verification Working knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, including FARs and Regulatory Guidance, assurance standards and methods: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and/or ARP 4754 Certification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO Skilled in requirements management, and experience with DOORS Model Based Design experience is a plus Experience with Jira, ADO, or other program management tools is a plus. Experience and knowledge of cyber security protocols like DO-326 is a plus.  Physical Requirements:Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printersFrequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computersThe person in this position needs tofrequently move inside the officeFrequent close vision and the ability to adjust focusThis position is onsite.Eligibility Requirements:**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.****This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization**Salary Range:The typical hiring range for this role is:Level II: $98,000-$147,000Level III: $112,000–$168,000Korry Electronics Competitive Benefits Package:401(k) matching12 paid holidaysMinimum of three weeks paid time off plus one week paid sick time to startComprehensive Medical, Dental and VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA) with generous company contributionFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Tuition reimbursementParental leaveShort term and long term disabilityLife insuranceAccidental death & dismemberment insuranceLong-term care plan optionsPrescription safety shoe & glasses benefitVanpool subsidyRecognition awardsEmployee referral bonusesEAP (Employee Assistance Program)Korry Electronicsis proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
