Founding Account Executive

End-to-end sales – working with the founding team. Hybrid, Atlanta Full time StartProto is the cloud-native, AI manufacturing operating system replacing aging on-prem shop systems at CNC shops, contract manufacturers, and fabricators—including aerospace & defense (ITAR) customers. We’re backed by Stage 2 Capital and manufacturing industry veterans, near profitable, and growing over 2x year-over-year with a clear path to 3x. Responsible for adherence to all security and privacy requirements, rules and regulations and implement as required. This position requires activities that are subject to US Export Control Laws and require US Citizenship or Green Card Holder. The Opportunity As our first Account Executive, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process in an effort to showcase our solution to solve some of the manufacturing industries leading challenges. You’ll also help codify what’s working into a repeatable, scalable playbook, in preparation of scaling the team. This is a remote role. Our Atlanta headquarters is available if you want it. Who You Are You are a proactive, entrepreneurial minded individual that is naturally curious about our customer’s current and future challenges and thrive on developing a plan to drive our prospects revenue goals and overall efficiency. You take ownership without needing a finished playbook, and you’re energized by the idea of helping build one. What you will take ownership of: Own the full sales cycle—prospecting, discovery, demo, and close—for manufacturers across our target segments. Take a “value-based” selling approach to ensure that every aspect of the StartProto product is positioned to address prospects needs and challenges Pipeline generation through self sourced efforts and partnership with BDR/Marketing collaboration Generate a list of target accounts and contacts using HubSpot, Clay, and LinkedIn to uncover and qualify new opportunities Gain expert knowledge and proficiency within the product and manufacturing industry as a whole Help codify messaging, objection handling, and close patterns into a playbook for future hires. Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and onboarding. Leverage HubSpot to manage all sales and prospecting activities Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 2+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales with a consistent track record of quota attainment. Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment Comfortable with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT); we use them daily.
