Set Up Technician

Location: Macaran Division: 18 New Courtland Street, Cohoes, NY Shift/Hours: 2 nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM Job Overview: The Setup Technician will help Press Operators stage components for the press schedule. Replenish press fluids Help with press changeovers Roll tending Empty waste matrix Help in other departments when schedule permits Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques used to effectively manufacture and distribute materials and products Flexibility, adaptability and ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and potential schedules Ability to understand mathematical applications, ex. measurement, logic, etc. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of professions and personalities Good command of the English language; ability to effectively read and write Knowledge of, and ability to, train, instruct, and measure individual ability Detail-oriented Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/roll 300 – 800 pounds with pallet jack Good manual dexterity for cutting, pressing, pulling, pushing, rolling, typing Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces and reach, twist, bend and stretch when required Excellent hand-eye coordination and acute depth perception Ability to decipher colors Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing Range of Pay: $19.00 per hour NextGen Label Group complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
