Job Salary and Benefits

* Salary range $20.00-$25.00 hourly

* Normal working days: Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:45 PM

* Overtime and some out-of-town works are required for this position

Full benefits are offered after 90 days of employment.

Job Description:

A tooling/fixture maker in Walton, KY is hiring MIG welders for working in its fabrication shop.

Hired welders will weld production parts for fixtures and other weldments for equipment that we design and build for the automotive industry. Welders will also be cross trained to work in other areas of the shop, primarily machining (manual mills, drill press, etc.) and the assembly department.

Applicant must be able to read and understand shop blueprints and will be given a blueprint reading test during the interview. Also, the applicant will be given a welding test to make the weldment depicted in the blueprint reading test.

Hired welders must act as a team player and work well with others to accomplish production targets. The company expects them to be detail-oriented and self-motivated to take on any kind of work, and to make suggestions to improve efficiency of any work process.

Overtime will be required during times of increased production, including weekend work. Some travel and working on holidays is also required.

Job Requirements

* Applicant must be a certified welder.

* Applicant must have experience in MIG welding various types and thicknesses of steel

* Applicant must have at least 2 years’ experience.

* Applicant must be at least 18

* Applicant must be able to read shop blueprints

* Applicant must read metric measuring devices (tape measure/ruler)

* Applicant must pass background check and drug test

Preferred Skills

* Applicant preferred to have at least an associate’s degree/some college/vocational degree or equivalent

* Applicant who has an experience in welding square tubes

* Applicant who is capable of fabricating the steel bases.
