Job Details Job Location: Campbellton Yard - Campbellton, TX 78008 A diesel mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines used in various vehicles and equipment, such as trucks, buses, and construction machinery. The job requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and their components, as well as the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks Diagnose and repair engine problems, such as faulty fuel injectors, worn bearings, and malfunctioning turbochargers Inspect and test engines to determine the extent of damage or malfunction Use diagnostic equipment to identify and analyze engine performance issues Repair or replace engine components, such as pistons, bearings, and gaskets Reassemble engines and test for proper performance Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a diesel mechanic training program or apprenticeship Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot engine problems Experience using diagnostic equipment and tools Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces Valid driver's license and reliable transportation #J-18808-Ljbffr South Texas Oilfield Solutions
