By BGT Admin / June 19, 2024 Tok, Alaska Posted 2 years ago $41.47-$42.40 / Hour THE JOB OF HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR INVOLVES Operating construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment, including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors, water trucks, plows, and small loaders for road maintenance. Preparing construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation. Transporting tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites. Inspecting and fueling vehicles before and after shifts. Performing routine maintenance and repairs. THIS ONE'S FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities. Excellent mechanical skills. Ability to follow instructions. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience and willingness to spend prolonged periods of time operating heavy machinery. Ability and willingness to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends, when necessary Ability and willingness to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
