Special Ed Teacher - Elizabeth, Colorado

This full‑time contract position offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload of 6‑8 students, allowing for individualized instruction and strong student relationships throughout the school year. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals of each student. Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support inclusive practices and ensure student success across all settings. Employing evidence‑based strategies and differentiated instruction to address a range of disabilities and learning styles. Collecting and analyzing student data to monitor progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed. Creating a welcoming, structured classroom environment that promotes safety, confidence, and engagement for all. Participating in professional development and faculty meetings as part of the school community. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services. Qualifications and desired experience: Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for elementary level (or eligibility). Prior experience working in an elementary school setting, particularly with students requiring significant support. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. This is a full‑time contract role for the 2026‑2027 academic year, beginning in early August and concluding in late May.
