Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position requires expertise in managing a variety of obstetrical patients and must be able to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to obstetrical patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process.
Perform assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.
Utilize external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) and assist with high-risk deliveries.
Circulate for C-sections and provide post-operative care.
Administer medications and manage intricacies of anticoagulation therapy.
Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN.
Experience with charting systems in a community hospital setting.
Ability to manage antepartum care and triage obstetric patients effectively.
Willingness to obtain S.T.A.B.L.E certification prior to the start date if not currently possessed.

Additional Information

The facility is known for conducting random drug screenings; candidates should be prepared for this requirement.
Housing options are limited in the area; candidates should be open to commuting.
Orientation is held on Mondays, with a comprehensive onboarding process including HealthStream modules.
Compliance documentation is due prior to the start date.
