Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing a variety of standardized assessments and observational approaches.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both short-term objectives and long-term communication or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions, emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and dysphagia.
• Engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to support their progress outside the clinical environment.
• Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout treatment.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the discipline through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
