Position Type: Full-time or 1099 Contractor (Open to Contractual Employment)

At The Grove Health and Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our residents in Hernando, FL. Our mission is to help patients achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life through personalized therapy plans and compassionate care. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic rehab team. This role offers both full-time and 1099 contractor opportunities.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at The Grove Health and Rehabilitation, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide personalized therapy plans, helping patients reach their rehabilitation goals in a subacute rehab setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, home exercises, and techniques for improving swallowing and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and physical/occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize patient recovery.
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations, as well as professional and ethical standards in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida (or eligibility for licensure).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required for consideration.
• Experience working in a subacute, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including geriatric populations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
