No on call or weekends./ppResponsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription and instruction of a radiation oncologist. Controls the exact amount of radiation to be administered locally, and reproduces treatment fields, ensuring that exposure is made only to prescribed areas. Requires high levels of quality control, safety, treatment planning and administration, patient care, and patient scheduling. May be asked to mentor those with less experience and/or students during clinical rotations./pulliHigh School Diploma/GED is required./liliRegistered RT (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Registry eligibility required. For Registry eligible candidates, candidate must pass exam within three months of hire date.
