Family Medicine Physician / Adult Primary Care

A community-focused healthcare organization in the Auburn, New York area is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join an adult primary care practice.

This is a permanent outpatient opportunity with a Monday-Friday schedule, competitive salary, full benefits, and relocation assistance. The ideal physician will have several years of post-training experience, strong primary care skills, and a patient-centered approach to serving adults in a community health setting.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Provide comprehensive adult primary care in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Obtain patient histories, perform physical exams, review records, and establish treatment plans.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education related to treatment, prevention, and wellness.
• Support continuity of care through follow-up visits, care coordination, and referrals when needed.
• Work collaboratively with clinical staff, APPs, nursing, and leadership in a team-based care model.
• Participate in quality improvement, required meetings, and organizational initiatives as appropriate.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to mid-level providers when needed.

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent position.
• Monday-Friday.
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Weekly rotating call.
• Adult patient population.
• Visits may be scheduled in 15-minute increments.
• Expected volume may exceed 24 patients per day.

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Active New York medical license or ability to obtain.
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• 3-5 years of physician experience preferred.
• Comfortable practicing in an outpatient adult primary care setting.
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to use an EMR efficiently for patient documentation.
• Patient-centered, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative care environment.
