Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) – Full‑time Columbia, MO – Boone County (Remote/Hybrid) Overview The BCaBA designs, implements, oversees, and supervises therapy programs to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working under the direction of a BCBA, the role utilizes ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, prompt fading, and task analysis to create individualized plans for clients, families, and teams. Responsibilities Able to lead cross‑functional teams in support of the client’s treatment plan Administer assessments (e.g., ABLS‑RR, AFLS) and create goals based on the assessments Assess the individual’s performance and implement treatment based on established goals, including FBA, Behavior Support Plans, and Behavior Reduction Plans Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team Provide training and education to staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders Provide feedback and ongoing support to Registered Behavior Technicians Participate in ongoing treatment meetings and staff meetings and professional development opportunities Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians and ensure maintenance of their credentials Promote a positive safety culture and follow safe work practices and policies Skills and Abilities Accountability Accurate listening Attention to detail Compassion and kindness Courtesy and friendliness Ethical behavior and decision making Initiative Leadership and mentorship Management Organizational Competencies Able to follow directions Capable of passing required training, including CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and Universal Precautions Document electronically in proprietary systems Comfortable with providing personal care Computer and electronic communication literate Learning‑focused Responsible and reliable Person‑centered Policy‑supportive Respectful and professional in communications Team builder Qualifications BCaBA certification (or will become certified within three months) Met Supervisor Requirements through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Travel as needed, with overnight stays Shifts Full‑time (35 hrs.)
