This position would support multiple sectors, including mining, oil and gas, and rail. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and planning of hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, watershed evaluations, and earthwork site design, as well as permit/construction-level drawings and details. Work will entail a mixture of engineering design, permitting, proposal and report writing, and construction-phase field engineering. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate will work from the office and remotely based on demands of project and client teams. Role accountabilities:In this role, you will apply your technical knowledge to support a range of environmental projects. You will also be responsible for preparing technical specifications and report writing for civil and environmental permitting. Therefore, you must have strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS), and use your familiarity with government, client, and industry local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects to deliver projects. Additional responsibilities may include planning, design, and oversight of industrial solid waste landfills, wastewater collection and treatment systems and impoundments, channels, levees, drainage systems, stormwater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, roads, and other civil/environmental aspects of infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to interface directly with clients and contractors and manage all aspects of project delivery utilizing Arcadis resources. This role will primarily be office based, but will also include field assignments, including assisting in the field with construction and inspections. This role will require the ability to travel up to 25%. This role follows a hybrid model, with 1–2 days per week in the office.
