Location: Grantsburg, WI
Start Date: Immediately after July 4th
Per Diem: $160/day
Hours: 50+ hours/week (plenty of overtime available)
Overview
We are seeking a Traveling CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for experienced machinists looking to maximize earnings with consistent overtime and a strong daily per diem.
If you're skilled in CNC lathe setup, enjoy hands-on problem solving, and want to work in a clean, organized shop environment—this role offers both stability and earning potential.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling
- Select tooling, establish offsets, and load programs across various machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
- Operate Fanuc and Siemens controls
- Make program edits to improve quality and efficiency
- Run production parts and monitor machine performance
- Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot issues such as tool wear and dimensional discrepancies
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
What We're Looking For
- Strong CNC lathe setup experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
- Solid understanding of machining processes and quality standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a production environment
