Business Analyst III

Job Summary This is a temporary/contingent worker role within Fixed Income Operations, providing operational coverage for the trading, underwriting, and structuring of Fixed Income securities. Responsibilities include trade capture, reconciliation, documentation, and settlement of proprietary and liquidity transactions. The core focus is on recognizing and managing operational risks, and ensuring the completeness and effectiveness of internal controls. The role involves supporting products such as Securitized Products, Mortgage and Asset Backed Securities, and Agency TBAs, and will be integral to managing daily operational risks for the fixed income operations group. Responsibilities Understands risk implications of fixed income operations roles. Ensures timely and correct execution of functions and procedures, including trade checkout, position reconciliation, and wash account reconciliation. Collaborates with trading desks, sales, and other operations groups to ensure efficient trade processing. Participates in cross-training with other team members. Assists with issues and provides timely escalation to desk and operations management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment. Self-starter, unafraid to ask questions. Strong communication skills. Willingness to transfer knowledge is imperative. Team player, able to collaborate across multiple operational areas. Multi-tasking and time management skills are critical. Ability to identify and escalation issues to senior management and trading desks. Reconciliation skills/experience. Detail-oriented. Hybrid work arrangement: in office 3 days per week.
