Job Overview Travel Nurse RN Med Surg required for a 13‑week assignment in Austin, Texas. Start ASAP, with a minimum of 2+ years of recent bedside experience. Position Details Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 12‑hour nights, 36 hours per week Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM No on‑call, work every other weekend Patient ratio: 5‑6 patients per nurse on night shift Unit: 20‑bed surgical telemetry, 3rd floor Procedures: orthopedics, neurology, urology, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, DIEP Equipment: CPM, T‑stat, wound vac Dress code: navy blue scrubs only Certification: BLS required Experience: over one year of nursing preferred Skills: critical thinking, fast‑paced environment, relief charge duties, interdisciplinary collaboration, daily patient rounding, self‑scheduling flexibility, mandatory break policy Compensation & Benefits Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined Referral bonus: $750 Facility The assignment is at a state‑of‑the‑art specialty surgical hospital focused exclusively on surgical telemetry services, providing exceptional post‑operative care with an emphasis on patient satisfaction and safe discharge planning.
